I'm a hopeless romantic! I want to attempt to get two nice young people together. They're both alone, and they are seeking love and companionship. The young man is artistically inclined in the music field. He's a really hard worker type, and he's also somewhat thrifty regarding his finances. I don't know very much about the young lady, except that she's studious, and serious about the plans for her future. If they can come together, I believe they will compliment each other in a positive way. I am cheering for their relationship to take off like a rocket ship into space.
I am actually praying for the both of them. If it is the Lord's will, they will come to love and care for each other in a special way. I am ready to assist this couple in any way that I can. I usually stay away from matchmaking, but in this particular instance, Fate has thrown a certain charm my way, and I see no other way other than to do just what I'm trying to do; bring this special couple together! Matchmaking is tedious, but also lots of fun. Let the chips fall where they may!

Tinnitus
Tinnitus ( ringing in the ears ), is one of the most extreme annoyances to mankind. I believe I've been a sufferer all my life. I have been to numerous doctors, medical specialists, etc., but no one can even suggest a cure of any kind.
The advice I get is to simply mask it by exposing myself to noises; listening to music, singing, conversing regularly in person or on the telephone. All well and good in their places and times. But, after all to be said and done, the ringing, hissing, whistling, and echoing are all still there with me. The worst times for this horror is late at night and very early in the mornings.
Tinnitus affects the balance, and nausea is always a possibility, lurking somewhere in the near background. If there is a probable cure, or if there is anything reasonable that I can do to get relief, please, I would love to be informed. Tinnitus, be gone!

Double Dutch
As a girl, I was never too great at jumping rope, especially double dutch. Maybe that's why a few nights ago, I dreamed that I was so adept at the sport that every group wanted me to represent them. I could literally fly through all of those rope antics.
We were in Old Dutch New York; the boys were all wearing knickers, and the girls were wearing long, flowery dresses. We girls knew how to hold our dresses up just so in order to jump those ropes to the maxium. There were horses and carts traveling the roads, but we had our own corner lot to play games and jump double dutch, which seemed to be all the rage at that time.
The boys never jumped with us, but they would stand around and sing rhymes and clap with the girls. It was so much fun, revisiting some of my childhood games, even if I was caught up in another time; the 1600 hundreds. Weird, but believable and delightful!

Home Improvements
Doing home improvements can be an exciting venture, or it can become a taxing bore. It all depends on how it is approached. I like to think of a major improvement as an adventure. I can't wait to enjoy the end results.
New, highly-efficient, energy-saving window units really appeals to me. The windows we now have are causing us to lose energy at a very rapid and costly rate. We notice the amount of cold air that filters in during the winter months. I'm sure the same amount of air conditioning escapes during the long, hot, sweltering summer days.
Thinking about the expense of adding fifteen window units can be overwhelming, but the savings will, I'm sure, more than even out the cost of this major improvement. I think it will pay for itself in less than two years. We'll just have to wait and see. I'm looking ahead to the finished product.

Summer Drownings - How Can They Be Avoided?
Calendar-wise, it isn't even summer yet here in the Southeastern part of the United States, but drownings are happening at an alarming rate. Pools, ponds, lakes, all seem to be culprits. The young people, especially males, like to take dips, sometimes at really offbeat times.
One young man was at a lake that is considered to be tricky, even in the daytime. He was swimming at about 2:00AM, alone. He apparently panicked when he caught cramps in his legs.
This young man was not wearing a lifejacket.
Another victim was caught in the undertow, also without a lifejacket. I realize that all swimming areas are not monitored and do not have lifeguards stationed every one hundred feet or so. There should be some mandatory rule posted at all public swimming areas reminding all potential swimmers that they must have a lifejacket. There should be a stiff fine for anyone not complying with the lifejacket mandate. I believe they would help save lives.

From The Porch
Since I'm a country person by nature. I simply love the views from my back porch. I get to see all kinds of birds, especially if I decide to sit out there early in the mornings. The red birds, blue birds, mocking birds, black birds, etc., are all up and at it. There are many, many more birds to listen to and observe. They are too many to mention.
From the porch, I can see squirrels playing on the woodpile. One of them has a white chest. It can be easily identified if he comes to play again. They are full of chatter and energy in the early morning hours.
From the back porch, I can also observe the rabbits running through the garden. They have no problem in helping themselves to our nice freshly-grown vegetables. They take bites from the tomatoes; the rabbits take samples from all kinds of greens and beans. There is enough, though, for us, and the animals, too. I really, really enjoy the simple pleasure of sitting on my back porch.

A Wonderful Late-Spring Day!
What a wonderful late-spring summerish day! The garden is producing, the humming birds are arguing, the rainfall is adequate for this time of year, and life is beautiful. I am doing so much better these days. My Family, friends and neighbors seem to be doing ok. What's not to be thrilled about?
Well, I'm NOT estatic about gas prices going up on a daily basis. It is now nearing $4.00 per gallon. I need to relearn how to ride my 'ol bicycle. Food prices have jumped the proverbial gun, also. Whenever we go to the grocery stores, the items we purchase on a regular basis are always a few cents more each. Every trip amounts to a $2.00 or a $3.00 increase. That's a real downer. But, there's no getting around any of it. Life goes on and on and on........................!
I'm truly thankful for Hubby's garden! We can eat fresh veggies all summer long, and we'll put some away to help out with our meals during the fall and winter months.
I really enjoy eating squash, okra, green beans, tomatoes, etc., right from the soil. Our veggies are organically grown. No pesticides, fertilizers, etc. Of course, the insects and the animals get their share of the garden. So we have to plant enough for all of them. They have to eat, too!
The squirrels, rabbits, deer, field mice, ants, bugs, (all sorts), get their portion of our garden. They are entitled because they are all part of the natural order of things. Just leave some for us, please! Thanks! Life is wonderful!

Moving Forward!
It's due time that I move forward with my life; I want to do something meaningful. What to do? I haven't the foggiest. I am praying to God to grant me a nice position on the internet. I definitely want something legitimate. Or,I would love to sell nice things for the home. Items that are useful as well as unusual and beautiful.
I have been ill and depressed for a long time; almost a year. Now, all thanks to the Almighty God, I feel so much better. I really feel like creating something nice, or helping others or whatever else the Heavenly Father has in store for me. I need to be and feel useful.
I'll keep praying for faith to wait on the Lord. He surely has a purpose and a definite plan for the balance of my life. I can't wait to discover what it is. It just very well may be in my home or right in my backyard. We're always the last to discover the wonderful treasures that are all around us. Things that we take for granted can easily become our lifeline to moving ahead in our lives!

Rocking On!
I'm Rocking and rolling on with my life. Many things are happening. I can hardly keep up. The Family from Houston, Texas is coming to vist in March! I'm looking forward to that. Granddaughter is probably taller than I am by now. It doesn't take much. I'm about five feet even in height.
My grandson was just born when I saw him last year in Texas. Now, he is walking and getting into everything. He's just being a very healthy little tyke. Dominic is so very precious! So is his Big Sis, Y'Mani. She is my very own Sweetheart. I Truly love her so much.
My youngest daughter, Tara, is my heart. I think I actually breathe for her. I love Tara. I can't say or think it enough. The Great God of our precious Universe knows it. He knows everything. I love my spouse, Joseph, and my oldest daughter, Valerie. They are so special.
May God Bless us all!!

Time to Refresh!
2008! New Beginnings! This is a time to renew and refresh our lives. We can begin by teaching ourselves to think differently. Let us begin our new thinking by being positive. We can do it. It is just as easy to see the clouds full of rain, as it is to see only a drought. Make great things happen by first meditating on positive events; then, 'speaking' them into existence.
The weak can survive by thinking harder on wonderful goals, rather than simply being stagnant and accepting the dregs that life many times send their way. Begin to treat those dregs like hot potatoes. Bounce them away from your sight. You'll profit so much better without them.
As long as you're breathing, and can think on a reasonable scale, it's never too late to begin to think extraordinarily pleasant and marvelous thoughts. Many of them just may come true! Try it!
